Tamara Reno is the Business Manager at Mercy Crest Assisted Living. She is a 2010 Graduate of the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, majoring in Business Administration. She started her career in Long Term Care working part time as a PCA for Mercy Crest in early 2011, as a second job and a way keep busy on weekends when her husband was away for work. She never dreamed it would turn into a career she loved. In just a few short months working a couple of weekends a month, Tamara was offered the Human Resources position at Mercy Crest. She loved that position and was constantly looking for ways to grow her skill set and knowledge of long term care. In 2015, Tamara was offered the Business Manager position at Mercy Crest. She gladly accepted. In 2019, Tamara earned her Assisted Living Administrators License. She continues to look for ways to become a greater asset to the Long Term Care community and help improve quality living for the senior community.
Tamara joined Senior Care Alliance in 2016, and was quickly added to the board as the Secretary. In 2019, Senior Care Alliance voted for her to serve as President for the term of 2020 and 2021. The year of 2020, was a great year of change and evolving ways of thinking. For the first time, SCA’s fall conference was held virtual. Tamara is excited for the year 2021 and the great things the SCA Board is working on to continue to meet is mission of educating and advocating seniors and care givers.
When Tamara is not working, you can find her playing with her three children or cheering her daughters on at gymnastics. Tamara loves sitting by a warm campfire listening to music with her husband, and playing hide and seek in the dark with her family.
